The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on experience in systems administration, Linux, networking, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity. This position supports enterprise infrastructure, modernization initiatives, and secure cloud-based environments. Primary Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain Windows and Linux server environments.
  • Support enterprise cloud environments including AWS and/or Azure.
  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity best practices and security controls.
  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot network infrastructure and services.
  • Perform system monitoring, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and performance optimization.
  • Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives.
  • Assist with system architecture, modernization efforts, and technology refresh initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Collaborate with software developers, engineers, and stakeholders to support mission requirements.
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies, including AI-enabled solutions where applicable.
Salary Range:
$90,000.00 to $175,000 Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience with Linux Administration.
  • Experience with Systems Administration.
  • Experience with Networking and Infrastructure Support.
  • Experience implementing Cybersecurity best practices.
  • Experience supporting Cloud Environments (AWS and/or Azure).
  • Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
  • Hands-on technical experience may be valued more highly rather than education and certifications. Desired Qualifications
  • Active Secret clearance preferred.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense, Federal Government, or NASA environments.
  • Docker and container technologies.
  • Kubernetes administration.
  • DevSecOps practices and toolsets.
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
  • Software development experience.
  • Systems engineering experience.
  • Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning experience. Certification Requirements
  • Security+ CE (required within six months of hire, if contractually required).
  • CISSP (preferred).
  • CASP+ (preferred).
  • CCNA (preferred).
  • Linux+ (preferred).
  • AWS Solutions Architect (preferred).
  • Microsoft Azure Administrator (preferred). Candidate Profile
  • Hands-on technical experience is valued more highly than certifications alone.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic DoD environment.
  • Adaptable, self-motivated, and technically curious.
  • Capable of supporting both current operations and future modernization efforts.
