Tesla is continuously pushing the boundaries of innovation in transportation, energy generation and storage, self-driving, AI, hardware, and software. The Industrial Security team partners with departments organization-wide to embed security into the design and development of programs and infrastructure. There are very few jobs in security that will challenge you like this will. We are looking for a dynamic and versatile engineer who has an intense fascination with securing these environments. The candidate must have the ability to evolve in terms of technical skill and can rapidly consume security standards, policy, and architecture. While this is a technical role, there is a strong governance, risk, and compliance component. What You'll Do Assess, audit, recommend, design, document and improve security solutions and processes for industrial control, operational technology and cyber-physical systems Work with product development, service teams and product managers to achieve positive security outcomes Work with detection and operations teams to develop intrusion and prevention processes, techniques, and solutions Implement security architecture, methods, and controls required to meet industry standards, compliance, audit, and regional regulatory requirements Respond to and, when appropriate, resolve or escalate security incidents Develop and maintain documentation for security systems and operational procedures Investigate and resolve security violations by providing root cause analysis and provide remediation solutions or preventative measures What You'll Bring Experience in OT/ICS/CPS or critical infrastructure environments, and an understanding of the unique challenges encountered within these sectors 3+ years in hands-on experience in at least two of the following areas: technical security testing/engineering, systems/network engineering, or security compliance assessments Understanding of industrial standards (e.g., IEC 62443, NIST
SP 800-82
) and regional regulations (e.g., EU
NIS2, NERC-CIP, AESCSF, NCSC CAF

The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
