In this energetic role, you will leverage your expertise in computer networking, information security, and IT infrastructure to safeguard our systems against evolving cyber threats. Your proactive approach will ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of critical data and services across diverse environments, including cloud platforms and on-premises networks. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge security tools and frameworks, making a tangible impact on organizational resilience. Duties Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and vulnerability research to identify potential security weaknesses within network architecture, operating systems, and applications. Monitor and analyze security events using SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools like Splunk or SolarWinds to detect threat activity promptly. Implement and manage network security measures including firewalls (Cisco ASA), IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), IPS (Intrusion Prevention Systems), and VPNs to protect LAN, WAN, and cloud infrastructure. Develop, review, and maintain system security plans aligned with standards such as NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology), ISO 27000 series, FedRAMP, and FISMA (Federal Information Security Management Act). Collaborate with network engineering teams to design secure network architectures utilizing routing protocols like
OSPF, BGP, EIGRP
; configure network devices including Cisco routers, Juniper devices, and load balancers. Lead incident response efforts by investigating security breaches, performing forensic analysis using computer forensics tools, and executing incident recovery procedures. Support identity & access management initiatives through LDAP, Active Directory, SSO (Single Sign-On), RBAC (Role-Based Access Control), and PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) implementations. Assist in system hardening efforts across various operating systems such as Windows, Linux (Debian, CentOS, Ubuntu), macOS, Solaris, openSUSE; ensure compliance with security standards like FIPS and DISA STIGs. Participate in disaster recovery planning and high availability configurations for critical IT infrastructure including SANs (Storage Area Networks) and VMware vSphere environments. Contribute to the development of security policies related to cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform; implement cloud architecture best practices for secure deployment. Qualifications Proven experience in cybersecurity roles with a strong understanding of computer networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IPsec; familiarity with network protocols like
SOAP, SSH, SFTP.
Hands-on knowledge of security tools such as SIEM platforms (Splunk or SolarWinds), intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), Cisco ISE for network access control. Solid understanding of IT infrastructure components including LAN/WAN design, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), firewalls (Cisco ASA), load balancing solutions, VPN technologies, and system administration across multiple OS environments. Familiarity with industry standards such as NIST standards;
ISO 27000
series; FedRAMP; PCI DSS for payment card security; DIACAP; COBIT frameworks for IT governance. Experience with scripting languages like Python or Bash for automation; knowledge of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines using tools like Ansible or Terraform is a plus. Strong analytical skills in threat detection & response; ability to perform vulnerability assessments using tools like Nessus or open-source alternatives. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CEH or GIAC are highly desirable. Join us to be at the forefront of cybersecurity innovation!
