THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL
Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a Security Account Manager to join our Security team. This role focuses on developing new opportunities and expanding existing relationships by delivering tailored physical security solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience in access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and a strong background in sales within the construction services industry, including new construction, renovations, and retrofits.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
(and doing well!) Sell integrated physical security systems and services, including design, installation, and maintenance agreements. Achieve assigned annual booking and gross margin goals as determined with the Sales Manager. Develop new business through prospecting, networking, and referrals, while expanding services with existing customers. Conduct site visits and needs assessments to develop customized proposals and system designs. Deliver compelling sales presentations using approved marketing materials to communicate Sciens' value proposition. Build long-term relationships through consultative selling and by positioning Sciens as a trusted advisor. Provide accurate forecasts of sales activity and maintain up-to-date CRM records. Collaborate with internal teams including engineering, operations, and finance to ensure successful project execution. Influence specifications through relationships with contractors, developers, and consultants. Represent Sciens at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU
3-5+ years of experience in physical security system sales, preferably in the construction services or building systems industry. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas. Strong knowledge of access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and integrated security platforms. Experience selling technical solutions through the contracting tier and to end users. Technical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Effective communication and presentation skills with a consultative sales approach. Strong negotiation skills and competitive spirit. Self-motivated with excellent time and territory management skills. Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered. Manufacturer certifications (e.g., Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon) are a plus. Able to travel by air and/or ground overnight, as necessary.
