Compensation Range :
$72-86+/hour Insight Global is seeking a senior cybersecurity engineer to support a fully onsite customer in Roy, Utah, focused on integrating cybersecurity into weapon system architecture within an MBSE environment. This role is responsible for developing and decomposing system security requirements, ensuring full traceability across the lifecycle, and supporting design, integration, and verification efforts. The engineer will embed cybersecurity controls into system architecture, provide guidance to technical teams, and assess security requirements, risks, and validation methods. Additional responsibilities include identifying vulnerabilities, supporting risk-based decision making, and authoring RMF documentation such as SSPs, RARs, CMPs, and POA&Ms.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's +12 years, relevant experience in Weapon Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Master's + 10 years, PhD + 8 years, OR 16+ years of relevant experience
  • Hands-on experience with NIST SP 800-160 and system development lifecycle
  • Experience with requirements development, decomposition, and traceability
  • Direct experience supporting RMF assessment and authorization documentation
  • Strong understanding of system architecture, integration, verification & validation
  • Active DoD 8570 IASAE Level II certification (CISSP)
  • Ability to obtain IASAE Level III within 6 months
  • Active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret / SAP
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Open to 10% travel
  • Experience with Inter-Continental Ballistic Missile systems
  • Preferred experience includes MBSE tools, DevSecOps environments, high-assurance systems, and advanced cyber accreditation processes
