Experience:

1 year of experience Strategic Data Systems is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer I to help implement and maintain cybersecurity protections across mission-critical networks at NIWC Pacific. This role supports cybersecurity compliance, vulnerability mitigation, and system security monitoring within secure RDT&E environments. \n Key Responsibilities Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls in accordance with DoD policies and standards Support Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities and compliance requirements Monitor systems for security vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies Assist in implementing cybersecurity measures to improve network defense and resilience Support incident response activities and security breach reporting Ensure protection of digital systems, infrastructure, and sensitive data Assist with security documentation, reporting, and compliance tracking Qualifications Security+ certification (DoD 8570 compliant - IAT/IAM/IASAE Level I) Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mathematics with computer science concentration, or related field preferred Active Secret Security Clearance \n $100,000 - $110,000 a year \n Strategic Data Systems provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
