Job Description

Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer / Software Developer to help build a world class, API driven certificate automation platform. This role focuses on integrating TLS certificate lifecycle management into fully automated server and application builds—enabling secure, compliant deployments. You will design and deliver automation that connects CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and certificate management capabilities to eliminate manual certificate handling, reduce cyber risk, and dramatically improve deployment velocity across a large enterprise environment. This is a hands on engineering and development role with high visibility and direct impact on platform scalability and security posture. This role is 5 days a week onsite in
Denver, Chicago or Charlotte Job Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop secure APIs and automation services for end to end TLS certificate lifecycle management.
  • Integrate certificate lifecycle management with CI/CD pipelines to automate certificate request, issuance, installation, and renewal.
  • Embed certificate automation directly into full server and application build workflows.
  • Build scalable, self service solutions that reduce manual effort and security risk.
  • Collaborate with engineering, platform, and operations teams to drive adoption of secure by default designs.
  • Implement production grade automation solutions.
  • Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders on enhancements, upgrades, and roadmap execution.
  • Create clear documentation, runbooks, and technical design artifacts.

  • 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, software development, or automation.
  • Experience building automation tools or APIs using PowerShell and/or C#.
  • Hands on experience with CI/CD pipeline integrations and/or terraforming.
  • Experience with code signing and securing cloud or distributed applications.
  • Strong expertise in
PKI, TLS
certificates, and certificate authority concepts.
  • Solid understanding of cryptography (encryption, digital signatures, key management).
  • Experience with Venafi or similar enterprise certificate management platforms
  • Experience authoring or maintaining Ansible (Tower/AAP/Open Source) playbooks.
  • Familiarity with AWS and/or Azure, including serverless or cloud native services.
  • Experience deploying and securing containerized applications.
  • Proficiency with Linux based operating systems.
