Job Description
Seeking a Cybersecurity Compliance & Cloud Architect (Information Technology Analyst I) for the Information Technology Division, Cybersecurity Unit. The selected candidate will work as a member of the team responsible for safeguarding the Judicial Branch's Microsoft 365 and Azure environments through proactive threat detection, automation, identity governance, and resiliency planning. The chosen candidate will be involved in implementing and supporting cybersecurity monitoring solutions, Power Platform automations, Microsoft Graph integrations, and cloud-based disaster recovery strategies that enhance the security, availability, and efficiency of Judicial operations. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the organization's cybersecurity strategy in accordance with Conference of State Court Administrators (COSCA) disaster recovery directives and will be able to work independently as well as in a team environment to move projects forward. Qualified applicants will possess experience in some or all of the following:
- Developing Power Automate flows, Power Apps, and PowerShell scripts to automate security event handling, incident notifications, and compliance reporting.
- Assisting with the integration of .NET, Graph API, and Power Platform for secure solutions.
- Performing Kusto Query Language (KQL) analytics for security event correlation, user activity analysis, and threat hunting.
- Supporting data-driven investigations utilizing various cybersecurity tools.
- Participating in vulnerability assessments, incident response, and security documentation.
- Assisting with audit logging, compliance reporting, and security management aligned with NIST and CIS standards.
- Implementing Azure tenant security with policy-driven controls and least-privilege access for service apps and other resources blocking internet access by default and allowing only as required.
- Supporting cloud security posture management across Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
- Implementing Power Platform and Power BI governance with DLP to prevent data leakage.
- Architecting and maintaining Azure VMware Solution (AVS) environments.
- Assisting in onboarding and hosting enterprise and mission-critical applications within AVS environments.
- Monitoring AVS platform performance, availability, and operational health.
- Identifying and classifying mission-critical 24/7 applications for resiliency planning in accordance with COSCA cybersecurity directives.
- Ownership of failover quarterly and annual planning, testing, and validation exercises.
- Assisting in validating that critical applications meet defined Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO).
- Supporting the development, execution, auditing, and documentation of system resiliency and disaster recovery (DR) strategies and readiness. Qualified candidates will be proficient with:
- Microsoft 365
Security & Compliance:
Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, Microsoft Sentinel, Entra ID.Cloud & Infrastructure:
Microsoft Azure, Azure VMware Solution (AVS), cloud governance and policy enforcement.Automation & Scripting:
PowerShell, Power Automate, Graph API.Security Analytics:
Kusto Query Language (KQL), Microsoft Excel, SQL.Data Visualization:
Power BI or Excel dashboards for incident metrics.
Application Development:
