Location:
on-site 3 days a week at the Wilmington office. Job Description Provides high-level strategic direction and operational oversight for enterprise-wide security initiatives within the financial services sector. Formulates, refines, and executes comprehensive information security roadmaps aligned with global banking regulations and corporate objectives. Advises senior executives and stakeholders on emerging risk postures, threat landscapes, and mitigation strategies. Evaluates, optimizes, and manages complex, multi-million-dollar cybersecurity vendor portfolios and service delivery. Drives operational maturity across core security domains, including threat detection, Incident Response, SIEM, and Identity and Access Management (IAM). Architects resilient risk governance frameworks and leads audit remediation efforts to ensure continuous regulatory compliance. Champions modern security paradigms, such as Zero Trust architecture, across complex and potentially resistant business units. Negotiates high-stakes trade-offs between business requirements, aggressive project timelines, and robust security constraints. Requires 15+ years of progressive IT security leadership experience, preferably within a global banking environment like Barclays. Demands elite industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCISO, paired with exceptional communication skills for board-level reporting.
