The Cloud Security Engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining cloud security frameworks ensuring compliance with
NIST 800-53
Rev. 5, FedRAMP, and DoD
IL-4/IL-5
security mandates.
The position requires configuring and managing identity and access management (IAM) solutions, role-based access controls (RBAC), and Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) principles.
Engineers will conduct vulnerability assessments, security monitoring, and incident response within cloud environments.
The role includes developing and maintaining System Security Plans (SSP), Security Assessment Reports (SAR), and Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&M). Required Qualifications and Experience The contractor shall provide personnel who meet one of the following requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or a related field; or
A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in cloud security engineering. Candidates must have demonstrated experience in the following areas:
Implementing cloud security frameworks.
Configuring identity and access management (IAM) solutions.
Conducting vulnerability assessments in cloud environments.
Working with SIEM tools and zero-trust architecture.
Utilizing cloud security monitoring solutions. Required Skills and Competencies
Expertise in identity and access management (IAM) and security monitoring.
Working knowledge of
NIST 800-53
Rev. 5, FedRAMP, and DoD IL security policies.
Proficiency in SIEM tools and cloud-native security solutions.
Strong understanding of Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) principles.
Ability to develop and maintain security documentation (SSP, SAR, POA&M). Education
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
CISSP (Preferred, Not Required)
AWS Certified Security - Specialty (Preferred, Not Required)
Microsoft Certified:
Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (Preferred, Not Required) Clearance Requirement
An active Secret security clearance is required, or the ability to obtain and maintain the required clearance.
