Aptiv seeks Cybersecurity Manager in Troy, MI.
Duties:
Create a strategic plan for the deployment of cybersecurity requirements, standards and guidelines. Provide technical cybersecurity guidance and oversight for development products, leveraging personal expertise and working knowledge of
ISO/SAE 21434.
Proactively manage design and architectures, leveraging up-to-date industry best practices, to effectively mitigate threats in a manner that allows requirements to be met with minimal risk, appropriate security control and allows maximum re-use of both architectural blocks as well as implementations. Provide cybersecurity technical expertise and oversight in software, hardware, and manufacturing development activities (including the management of cryptographic keys). Partner with Cybersecurity Chief Engineer to build cybersecurity teams in North America to support current and future customers and help establish capacity model for growth. Effectively manages people by building a high-quality working relationship and providing a blend of support, development and performance management that enables individuals to work at their best. Plan and organize workloads and staff assignments; Review Progress, and direct changes in priorities, schedules, procedures to meet deadlines. Motivate staff by setting and achieving challenging goals; demonstrate persistence in overcoming obstacles. Prioritize and allocate Cybersecurity resources correctly and efficiently. Serve as escalation point for the regional Product Engineering team including guidance for incidents, monitoring and response. Participating in Technical Design Reviews (TDR) during customer quoting phase for new or existing business. Collaborate with key stakeholders to establish, grow, and maintain an IT security risk management program. Own the process for conducting security audits, including selection of 3rd party vendors. Conduct regular security assessments and risk analysis to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities. Develop contingency plans and manage security breaches. Partner and Collaborate with PSOC - CTO and IT Team to monitor security vulnerabilities, threats, and events in network and host systems. Manages the process of responding to the vendor Cybersecurity assessment requests from customers. Lead security education programs focused on user awareness, best practices and security compliance. Responding to client due diligence questionnaires and ensuring compliance with client data handling requirements. Identify improvement opportunities, including new technology products and services that can help Aptiv achieve company goals. Develop policies, procedures, and standard reports for identifying and/or verifying potential breech of information security, confidentiality and with validation and regression testing. Create new information system audits as part of all system implementations managing sensitive information. Develop, maintain, and utilize system for tracking all audit results (proactive and reactive). Work with Cybersecurity Chief Engineer, CTO and Engineering Program team to address any confirmed breach situations (incident response). Use tools to monitor and alert on potential security issues (IDS / IPS, dynamic and static application scans, etc....). Coach and mentor cybersecurity professionals to provide career growth and increase job satisfaction. Plays a key strategic role on Product Engineering Team in helping to set the company's direction and technology vision.
