W2 only No Corp-to-Corp or 3rd Party Agencies Overview We are seeking a hands-on VP, Incident Response Cloud Security (AWS) with deep expertise in incident response, threat detection, and digital forensics within AWS cloud environments. This role is focused on actively securing cloud infrastructure from a threat and response perspective, not architecture or design. The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience operating at scale within a large financial services organization, responding to real-world threats in complex AWS environments. This individual will play a critical role in identifying, investigating, and mitigating security incidents while strengthening the organization s overall cloud security posture. Top Required Skills Strong hands-on incident response experience in AWS cloud environments Proven experience working at scale within a large financial services organization Digital forensics and threat investigation capabilities Experience responding to real-time security incidents and breaches Cloud infrastructure security with a focus on detection and response SIEM and threat monitoring tools such as Splunk or similar Experience with AWS services including Lambda Step Functions and other serverless technologies Strong understanding of financial services security and regulatory environments

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and actively participate in incident response efforts across AWS cloud infrastructure Investigate, analyze, and respond to security threats, vulnerabilities, and breaches Perform digital forensics and root cause analysis on security incidents Monitor and enhance threat detection capabilities across cloud environments Partner with engineering and infrastructure teams to strengthen security controls Provide hands-on leadership during active incidents and escalations Evaluate and improve incident response processes and playbooks Assess cloud environments for risks and drive remediation strategies Ensure alignment with financial services regulations and security frameworks Communicate findings, risks, and remediation plans to senior leadership Required Qualifications 10 or more years of cybersecurity experience with a strong focus on incident response Demonstrated experience working in large-scale AWS environments within financial services Experience handling security incidents in complex, enterprise cloud infrastructures Strong background in digital forensics, threat hunting, and incident response operations Preferred Qualifications Experience with Azure is a plus, but strong AWS experience is required Experience in financial services utilities such as DTCC or similar environments preferred Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, and cloud-native security tools Certifications such as CISSP or GIAC certifications are strongly preferred
