About Us:
Baillie Lumber Co. is one of North America's largest hardwood lumber manufacturers, distributors and exporters. We are a provider of hardwood logs, hardwood lumber and proprietary grade hardwood lumber products Security Engineer Summary Baillie Lumber's Hamburg, NY office is looking to add an experienced Security Engineer to help us ensure proper level of security of corporate digital systems and network. Your duties will include protecting system boundaries keeping computer systems and network devices hardened against attacks and securing highly sensitive data. You should possesses both deep and wide expertise in the security space and have a background in security or systems engineering. Security Engineer Responsibilities (include but not limited to): Organize computer security architecture and develop detailed cyber security designs Review develop and implement security measures for the protection of computer systems networks and information Define system security requirements and prepare reports on your results Review and document standard operating procedures and protocols Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices Create technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks Perform support and consulting of the company's personnel about security incidents and measures Prepare detailed reports including assessment-based findings outcomes and propositions for further system security enhancement Performs other related dutiesSecurity Engineer Requirements:
5+ years' experience of working on System Security Engineer or other relevant position Significant experience of building and maintaining security systems Good experience in security systems including firewalls intrusion detection systems anti-virus software authentication systems log management content filtering etc. Good experience with network security and networking technologies and with system security and network monitoring tools In-depth knowledge of database and operating system security Good familiarity of the latest security principles techniques and protocols Understanding of Web related technologies including applications services Service Oriented Architectures networking protocols and so on Strong problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure BS degree in Computer Science or other related area Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Performance bonuses Paid vacation days and holidays. MinimumAnticipated Maximum Salary:
$115,000- $150,000/ year. The advertised pay range represents what Baillie Lumber Co. believes we would anticipate paying for this position. It is not typical for an individual to be compensated at the top of the range for a position as candidates must possess experience and qualifications that far exceed the requirements.
