DoD experience DoD 8570 Regulatory Frameworks (Architecture security) IAT IAT Level II Full Job Description Delaware Nation Industries is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support the Air Force Research Laboratory Headquarters (AFRL/DSC) at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. This role supports the cybersecurity posture, RMF compliance, and authorization readiness of Government information systems in a DoD environment. Responsibilities Serve as the ISSO and RMF/eMASS liaison for assigned systems Maintain and update RMF documentation and authorization artifacts, including SSPs, POA&Ms, RARs, and SAPs Support Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities and sustain system Authorizations to Operate (ATOs) Monitor security controls, track vulnerabilities, and coordinate remediation efforts Ensure compliance with NIST, DoD, Air Force, and
DISA STIG
requirements Support continuous monitoring, audit readiness, and cybersecurity reporting Coordinate with system owners, administrators, engineers, and Government stakeholders on security requirements and changes Help implement cybersecurity policies, procedures, and access controls Requirements Required Qualifications Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain and maintain one DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification, such as CompTIA Security+, or higher Experience supporting RMF, A&A, eMASS, or cybersecurity compliance activities in a DoD environment Working knowledge of
NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP
800-53, DoD cybersecurity requirements, and DISA STIGs Experience preparing and maintaining authorization documentation Strong written and verbal communication skills Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting Air Force or AFRL environments Familiarity with ACAS, HBSS, Splunk, SolarWinds, ServiceNow, or similar tools Experience with continuous monitoring and vulnerability remediation Familiarity with NIPRNet, SIPRNet, or DREN CISSP, CAP, CASP+, or CISM certification
