JOB SUMMARY
Business Operational Concepts (BOC) is currently seeking a Cyber Incident Response Intern for a project in Boyers, PA. This position is designed for individuals who have completed some college coursework in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field and are looking to gain hands-on exposure in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment. The intern will primarily shadow experienced analysts and observe daily SOC operations, gaining insight into how cybersecurity incidents are monitored, analyzed, and resolved. Under supervision, the intern may assist with basic tasks while developing foundational knowledge of security tools, incident response processes, and federal security compliance standards such as the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA). This internship focuses on learning, professional development, and exposure to real-world cybersecurity operations in a collaborative team environment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Intrusion detection
Shadow SOC analysts to observe intrusion detection and response activities
Observe and learn cyber threat hunting techniques and methodologies
Assist with basic cyber incident ticket tracking and documentation
Support entry-level analysis of logs and network traffic under supervision
Observe cyber investigations and incident response processes
Assist with documentation in accordance with audit requirements
Support report generation and basic metrics tracking
Gain exposure to security tools such as:

Forcepoint Web, Email, and DLP
SentinelOne
Palo Alto
RSA Security Analytics/NetWitness
ForeScout CounterACT
Remedy QUALIFICATIONS
Required (Minimum) Qualifications - Education, Certification, Experience, and Skills Completion of some college coursework in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Basic understanding of networking and cybersecurity fundamentals
Strong willingness to learn and take direction in a team environment
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications - Education, Certification, Experience, Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Interest in cybersecurity operations, threat analysis, or ethical hacking
Exposure to cybersecurity concepts through coursework, labs, or personal projects
Familiarity with basic networking or operating system concepts
Interest in pursuing certifications such as:
CompTIA Network+
CompTIA Security+ CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS
