Computer Systems Manager

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated, creative, hands-on, highly skilled Computer Systems Manager to manage our IT infrastructure. You will oversee the planning, implementation, and management of computer systems, networks, and databases. Responsibilities Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise-wide IT infrastructure including servers, networks, databases Oversee network support activities involving routers, LAN/WAN configurations, firewalls, network security protocols, and remote access solutions. Provide desktop support, server management, and troubleshooting for Windows Server, Linux systems and applications, Libre Office, and other software applications. Manage vendor relationships for hardware, software licenses, and cloud services; negotiate contracts Develop business continuity plans and disaster recovery strategies to safeguard critical data and ensure rapid recovery when needed In short, manage our company's entire computer system -- hardware and software, administration and applications Requirements Having been a computer geek in your youth is a big plus Proven experience managing complex IT environments with a strong understanding of computer networking concepts including databases and LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi configurations. Extensive knowledge of virtualization technologies Hands-on experience with server management including Microsoft Windows Server (2016/2019), Linux OS and applications, Postgres and Microsoft databases Familiarity with network security protocols including firewall setup, VPNs, Active Directory administration, DHCP configuration, and cybersecurity best practices Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently through effective time management

Pay:

$85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
