Cybersecurity Incident Management Exercise (CIME) Facilitator Science Systems and Applications, Inc. 70000.00 To 90000.00 (USD) Annually United States, Nebraska, Offutt Air Force Base May 14, 2026 Science Systems and Applications, Inc. (SSAI) is seeking a Cybersecurity Incident Management Exercise (CIME) Facilitator to support cybersecurity resilience initiatives for local governments, counties, cities, and school districts across Iowa. This role will facilitate tabletop-style cybersecurity incident exercises designed to help organizations improve preparedness, communication, coordination, and operational response during cyber incidents. The ideal candidate is an engaging communicator with a cybersecurity or IT background who is comfortable leading discussions with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Iowa (Remote/Home-Based with Statewide Travel)
Position Type:
Contract / Part-Time / As-Needed Key Responsibilities Facilitate in-person cybersecurity tabletop exercises throughout Iowa Lead structured discussions involving IT personnel, municipal leadership, emergency management staff, school administrators, and elected officials Guide participants through realistic cybersecurity incident scenarios Maintain participant engagement and productive discussion during exercises Coordinate with project leadership before and after engagements Collect participant feedback and support post-exercise debrief activities Travel independently to assigned locations across Iowa Represent SSAI professionally during public-sector engagements Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, education, communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience Minimum 3 years of experience in Cybersecurity, IT Operations, Incident Response, Emergency Management, or Technical Training/Facilitation Strong verbal communication and presentation skills Ability to lead discussions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Strong organizational and time management skills Comfortable traveling throughout Iowa Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts including ransomware, phishing, incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity Desired Qualifications Experience facilitating tabletop exercises or training sessions Familiarity with NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), CISA tabletop exercise guidance, HSEEP, and Cyber Resilience Review (CRR) Previous experience supporting local governments, K-12 organizations, or public-sector clients Cybersecurity certifications or emergency management training are a plus.
