Position Overview Erie and Niagara is seeking a full-time Information Security Analyst for our IT Department. This is a great opportunity to join an established WNY company. This position is responsible for providing technical expertise in securing the networks, servers, workstations, laptops, and other devices against IT threats and vulnerabilities. Adherence to security requirements of New York State Department of Financial Services regulation 500, as well as responding to audit and assessment requests. Responsibilities:
Monitor networks and devices for anomalous activity Using suite of security tools create alerts for anomalous activity Conduct security assessments, penetration tests and simulations to assess risks Create and maintain documented policies and procedures to mitigate risks Work with internal and external resources to conduct audits and assessments of established policies and procedures Work with internal and external resources to perform security assessments including, but not limited to phishing, social engineering, vishing, and other security threat vectors Respond to security threats and vulnerabilities Prepare standardized reports detailing threats, vulnerabilities, risks, and mitigation steps Document security monitoring and response procedures and cross train additional staff Assist in companywide system upgrades as needed Utilize established security tools, guidelines and conventions including but not limited to SIEM, Anti-Malware, Carbon Black Detect and Protect, firewall rules and policies, Microsoft Intune compliance policies, Operating System Hardening tools Respond to internal support requests for ad-hoc security requests Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or minimum eight years' experience Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task Ability to set and meet deadlines as necessary Must have excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills Knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, virtualization hypervisors Knowledge of security standards including, but not limited to
NIST, ISO, CIS
Ability to analyze complex data to identify anomalies CISSP, GIAC, or CEH certification desired, but not required Excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions Must have demonstrated ability to quickly master new technologies Pay range for this position is $80,000-$115,000 annually depending on experience and qualifications of the selected candidate.
