This role focuses on security risk, controls, IAM (Identity & Access Management), and policy alignment , working cross-functionally with IT, security, and business stakeholders. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role —ideal for someone with experience in risk, compliance, and access management within an enterprise environment. Key Responsibilities Identify and assess information security risks and implement appropriate controls Support and maintain security policies, procedures, and governance frameworks Perform and support IAM activities (access reviews, provisioning, controls) Evaluate effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements Support audits, compliance, and risk mitigation initiatives Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on security practices Contribute to continuous improvement of security processes and procedures Required Qualifications Experience in Information Security / Cybersecurity / GRC Strong understanding of: Security risk & controls Security policies and governance IAM / access management Experience supporting risk, compliance, or security operations in an enterprise environment Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with IAM tools (Okta, Azure AD / Entra ID, SailPoint, etc.) Exposure to SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel, QRadar, etc.) Experience in financial services or regulated environments Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, etc.)

Contract Details Location:

Cary, NC ( Hybrid - 3 days onsite )

Duration:

6-month contract with strong potential for extension

Compensation:

$65/hr W2
