Okta Engineer Location:

2 days/week onsite in Arlington, TX Must Have LinkedIn w-2 only Important Skills (Must-Have) Experience with MFA configuration and troubleshooting (Okta factor management, enrollment, policy enforcement). Hands-on experience with Okta FastPass (authentication setup, policies/rules usage, integration considerations). Strong understanding of Okta Policies (Authentication Policies, Sign-On Policies, Password/MFA-related policy behavior, conditional access concepts where applicable). About the Role We're looking for an Okta Engineer to design, implement, and support identity and access solutions using Okta and related IAM technologies. You will work closely with security, IT, and engineering teams to ensure reliable SSO, user lifecycle automation, group/role management, and secure integrations across applications. Responsibilities Administer and maintain Okta tenants and core configurations (SSO, SAML/OIDC, MFA).

Configure and manage:

Application integrations (SaaS and internal apps) User provisioning and deprovisioning Group and role mappings Authentication policies (MFA, device/context-based rules if applicable) Build and automate identity workflows (user lifecycle, onboarding/offboarding).

Develop and maintain integrations using:

Okta APIs (e.g., Users, Groups, Lifecycle, Workflows) SCIM (where applicable) Webhooks and event-based automation Troubleshoot authentication and provisioning issues; provide root-cause analysis. Partner with security/compliance teams to support access governance and audit readiness. Document IAM processes, runbooks, and architecture decisions. Support migrations or new onboarding of applications into Okta. Monitor system health and participate in incident/on-call coverage (if applicable). Required Qualifications Experience with Okta administration/engineering (tenant management, SAML/OIDC, policies). Okta MFA configuration and troubleshooting Okta FastPass experience Strong policies understanding (Okta policy setup and behavior) Hands-on experience with Okta provisioning (SCIM, lifecycle hooks/events, user sync). Strong understanding of IAM concepts (authentication vs authorization, least privilege). Experience integrating Okta with enterprise applications and directories (e.g., AD/LDAP).
