Job Description

Job DescriptionECS is seeking an Infrastructure Management-VDI Administrator - Journeyman to support the Army National Guard's mission-critical IT infrastructure and cybersecurity operations. The Army National Guard (ARNG) Enterprise Network Operations and Cybersecurity Support (ENOCS) program delivers comprehensive enterprise IT infrastructure, WAN, cybersecurity, and associated services to the ARNG and its mission partners. The program supports more than 120,000 users and 141,000 endpoints across approximately 2,800 sites spanning 54 states and territories, enabling Title 10 and Title 32 missions, domestic emergency response operations, mobilization readiness, and classified SIPRNet operations.

Task 4 — Enterprise Operations Support — provides 24/7/365 network monitoring, control, and management from the
RCC-ARNG
Network Operations Center (NOC) over classified and unclassified networks, delivering DoDIN services including data, voice, and video across the ARNG's distributed enterprise infrastructure.

ResponsibilitiesImplement and maintain Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions to support enterprise user environments.

Manage desktop pools and configure access controls to ensure secure user access.

Conduct performance tuning and system updates to optimize VDI operations.

Collaborate with IT teams to integrate VDI solutions with existing infrastructure.

Troubleshoot and resolve VDI-related issues to maintain operational efficiency.

Develop and enforce security protocols for VDI environments.

Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements for improved functionality.

Document VDI configurations and procedures for future reference and compliance.

Bachelors in [Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering]Minimum of 8 years of experience in cloud infrastructure management and VDI administrationProven expertise in managing Windows Virtual Desktop environments within AzureStrong background in system administration across classified air-gapped networksExperience with identity management and resource provisioningDemonstrated ability to ensure security compliance in IT environments
