POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Specialist with Network Engineering experience to protect and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, networks, systems, and data. This role combines cybersecurity operations with hands-on network engineering responsibilities to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performing enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will have experience designing, implementing, monitoring, and securing network infrastructure while proactively identifying and mitigating cybersecurity risks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Cybersecurity Responsibilities
  • Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents, alerts, and threats.
  • Administer and maintain security tools including:
  • Firewalls
  • Endpoint detection and response (EDR)
  • SIEM platforms
  • Email security solutions
  • MFA and identity management systems
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation efforts.
  • Implement and enforce cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Perform security audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
  • Investigate suspicious activity and assist with incident response and forensic analysis.
  • Manage Microsoft 365 and Azure security configurations, including Defender and Conditional Access policies.
  • Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies. Network Engineering Responsibilities
  • Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless, and cloud networking environments.
  • Troubleshoot network performance, outages, and connectivity issues.
  • Configure and support: Switches Routers Firewalls VLANs SD-WAN
  • Monitor network health, bandwidth utilization, and system availability.
  • Implement secure network segmentation and access controls.
  • Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
  • Collaborate with IT teams and vendors for infrastructure upgrades and implementations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity and/or network engineering roles.
  • Strong knowledge of: TCP/IP DNS DHCP VPN technologies Network protocols and architecture Experience with firewalls such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, or SonicWall.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra ID, and cloud security practices.
  • Experience with security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, or
ISO 27001.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Industry certifications such as:
  • CISSP
  • Security+
  • CCNA
  • CCNP
  • Azure Security Engineer Associate
  • Experience with: SIEM platforms Endpoint protection solutions PowerShell or Python scripting Virtualization technologies Compliance standards (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOX, etc.
)
