OIC, OHMG, ASC, OIC
Holding and LuskinOIC Foundation. This role serves as a liaison between data stakeholders, IT, finance, and operational teams and works under the direction of leadership to design, build, and maintain source systems, dashboards, and databases. Key operational activities include analyzing and integrating clinical and financial data, creating data distribution to operators and ensuring data quality and governance. Key technical activities include optimizing data models and supporting reporting and analytics initiatives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the design and development of scalable data pipelines and architectures, partnering with clinical, operational, and business stakeholders to enable data-driven decisions. Establish and maintain standardized business metrics and reporting models to ensure consistent, organization-wide definitions across dashboards and reporting tools. Integrate data from source systems including the EMR (e.g., CareConnect), billing systems, purchasing system (e.g., Envi) and financial systems (e.g., Sage Intacct) to develop data sets and analytics that could drive operational decisions. Monitor data systems performance and troubleshoot issues. Analyze workflows and recommend system and process improvements. Support reporting and analytics initiatives by preparing datasets for BI tools. Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance standards are maintained. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data needs. Develop documentation, data dictionaries, and training materials. Communicate with vendors and technical teams regarding system issues. Provide status updates to leadership on data initiatives and projects. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and data security requirements. Follow change management processes for system updates and enhancements. Mentor junior staff and support knowledge sharing across teams. All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field. 5-8+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles. Strong proficiency in SQL and Python. Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt). Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Experience with healthcare data systems (EMR, claims, revenue cycle). Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare data compliance. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Complexity:
Ability to perform highly detailed work in a fast paced environment with sustained attention, while providing/obtaining accurate information on numerous inquiries is paramount to success in this position.
