Job Description

DataStage -
Data Engineer:
(Start date 8/31/2026)
Role:
DataStage (ETL)
Data Engineer Experience:
4-7 years
Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines using IBM DataStage
  • Build and optimize parallel jobs, server jobs, and sequences
  • Work with source-to-target mappings, data transformations, and business rules
  • Collaborate with Tech leads and analysts to understand data requirements
  • Perform unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning of DataStage jobs
  • Support data migration, integration, and warehouse loading activities
  • Manage job scheduling and monitoring via
DataStage Director/Control Center Required Skills:
  • Strong hands-on experience with IBM DataStage (Parallel Extender/PX)
  • Proficiency in complex SQL and data transformation logic
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts (Star/Snowflake schema, SCD types)
  • Knowledge of Unix/Linux shell scripting
  • Familiarity with job scheduling tools (Control-M, AutoSys)
  • Experience with QualityStage Teradata Skills (Additional):
  • Working knowledge of Teradata SQL and utilities (BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT)
  • Experience loading/extracting data from Teradata using DataStage connectors
  • Basic understanding of Teradata architecture and performance tuning Good to
Have:
  • Experience with Mainframes/ COBOL, JCL
  • Knowledge of metadata management and data lineage tools
  • Medicaid knowledge
