Job Description

Data Engineer II SearchShareApply Data Engineer II Expert Technical Solutions is seeking a Data Engineer II for one of our premier, industry leading clients in Atlanta, GA. This person will be a pivotal member of the team that is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining reliable and scalable data solutions with minimal oversight. This role owns moderate‑to‑complex data pipelines and datasets, ensures analytical accuracy, and proactively identifies and resolves issues across data and reporting platforms within established architectural standards. This role will report to the Financial and Reporting Application Manager. •The role will include a mix of delivery and production support, with responsibilities spanning data engineering, design, and some data analysis. This is a Permanent, Hybrid opportunity (3 days a week onsite) offering strong pay, excellent benefits, and unlimited growth potential.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain moderately complex data pipelines, datasets, and integrations. Independently analyze requirements and translate them into accurate, supportable technical solutions. Optimize queries, data models, and transformations for performance, reliability, and maintainability. Perform thorough data validation and ensure accuracy prior to deployment and reporting consumption. Troubleshoot and resolve data and reporting issues end‑to‑end without routine supervision. Apply development architecture and coding best practices consistently. Contribute to process improvements, standards, and documentation. Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to support business data and reporting needs. Participate in peer reviews and provide constructive, actionable feedback. Thrive in a fast paced, schedule driven environment by effectively managing and pivoting between multiple complex workstreams. Required 
Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science desired; equivalent experience will be considered 3+ years' experience with large scale relational databases such as Oracle or SQL Server 3+ years' experience writing complex queries for reporting and data extraction Strong database design experience required 3+ years' experience troubleshooting and tuning database performance, queries, and stored procedures Demonstrated Python experience Strong proficiency with PowerBI and/or SAP-BI/Crystal Reports Solid experience with ETL development and data integration patterns. Working knowledge of dimensional modeling and reporting dependencies. Hands on experience developing or supporting enterprise analytics solutions, including data pipelines, centralized data platforms, and semantic models. Strong understanding of business intelligence concepts such as dataset design, data modeling, refresh behavior, and report dependencies. Experience supporting and maintaining enterprise reporting solutions in a production environment. Familiarity with DevOps concepts and version control. Demonstrated knowledge of Enterprise BI and DataWarehouse ecosystems
