C Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in SQL Server, Azure SQL, and Databricks. The ideal candidate should be local to Chicago, Illinois and possess extensive experience designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise data solutions. This role requires hands-on experience with modern cloud-based data platforms and strong database engineering capabilities. Candidates should be comfortable working in a hybrid environment and participating in onsite interviews.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise data solutions. Build and optimize data pipelines and database architectures. Develop and manage solutions using SQL Server, Azure SQL, and Databricks. Perform query optimization and database performance tuning. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement data solutions. Ensure data quality, reliability, and integrity across platforms. Support production environments and troubleshoot data-related issues. Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities. Create and maintain technical documentation and data models. Contribute throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Required Skills:
Strong experience with: SQL Server Azure SQL Databricks Expertise in: Data Engineering Database Development Data Modeling Query Optimization Performance Tuning Experience with: ETL/ELT Processes Data Pipelines Data Warehousing Production Support SDLC Processes Ability to work in a collaborative hybrid environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience building enterprise-scale data platforms. Experience with cloud-based data architectures. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Experience working with large-scale databases and high-volume data processing. Prior experience in Agile development environments.
