Job Summary Are you ready to take your career to the next level? AThe Business Intelligence & SQL Systems Engineer provides both strategic leadership and hands-on technical expertise for the organization's Power BI reporting environment, SQL Server infrastructure, and enterprise data warehouse. This role is responsible for designing and maintaining scalable data architecture, ensuring SQL Server performance and reliability, and delivering accurate executive reporting across clinical, operational, and financial domains. The Engineer will serve as the organization's subject matter expert in data modeling, semantic layer development, and SQL optimization while partnering closely with Finance, Operations, IT, and Executive Leadership. This role will support consistent and reliable reporting across clinical, operational, and financial domains in partnership with Operations, Finance, and IT teams. Essential Duties & Responsibilities (What You'll Do) Business Intelligence & Power BI Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Power BI dashboards and reports. SQL Server & Data Warehouse Design, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases. Develop complex T-SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and ETL processes. Build and maintain dimensional models (star schema) and Bronze/Silver/Gold data layers. Monitor and tune indexing strategies, execution plans, and query performance. Support integration and alignment of data across multiple EMR, scheduling, and billing systems Ensure backup integrity, disaster recovery readiness, and data availability. Support acquisition integrations and data migrations. Data Architecture & Governance Establish naming conventions, documentation standards, and change governance. Ensure data integrity, validation, and reconciliation processes. Monitor data quality and resolve discrepancies. Partner with leadership to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions. Infrastructure & Collaboration Maintain SQL Server virtual machines in coordination with IT infrastructure. Support performance planning, storage growth forecasting, and patch coordination. Collaborate with CIO and executive leadership on analytics strategy. Develop standardized dashboards to support operational and financial reporting needs Build and manage semantic models and DAX measures. Optimize report performance and refresh reliability. Maintain Power BI gateways, authentication, and scheduled refresh processes. Partner with Finance and Operations to deliver AR, revenue cycle, KPI, and acquisition reporting. Support self-service reporting initiatives and data governance standards. Minimum Qualifications (What We Are Looking For) Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong documentation and organizational skills. Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions Education and/or Experience Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field preferred. 3-7+ years experience with Microsoft SQL Server. Strong T-SQL experience (joins, CTEs, stored procedures, performance tuning). 3+ years experience with Microsoft Power BI (DAX, semantic models, dataflows). Experience designing star schema or dimensional models. Experience supporting production SQL environments. Healthcare or financial reporting experience preferred.
