In NC, we operate three pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities that are responsible for fulfilling different steps in our injectable and oral treatment supply chains. Our newer Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) facility in Clayton, NC sits on 825,000 square-feet of state-of-the-art equipment, and houses the Fermentation, Recovery and Purification in the production of ingredients for Novo Nordisk's innovative oral products. The Position Responsible for executing advanced data analysis projects that support site data and digitalization efforts with respective complexity (according to the technical development pathway) and with little to no guidance from the manager. Relationships Reports to Manager. Essential Functions Execute projects with the aim of developing, validating, implementing, and maintaining analysis tools to support data-driven decisions using established methodologiesImplement advanced predictive modeling/forecasting, real-time monitoring and business control systems integration, statistical process control and optimization techniques, using front-end applicationsIdentify and ideate improvement-optimization projects using input from stakeholder needs. Define problem formulation, objectives, and scope with stakeholdersCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support the design and building of data pipelines for cleaning, transforming, and combining datasets from wide variety of data sourcesSupport manufacturing, business, and project departments with process understanding, analyses, and systematic problem solvingTrain stakeholders in relevant areas on implemented AMS solutionsMaintain and improve AMS solutions when manufacturing or business issues/process changes occur, new user requirements are provided, or for continuous improvement effortsOwn self development & initiative to understand the site process control systems, data management systems, and differing data sources (PCS, MES, SAP, PI Historian)Understand cLEAN® within the main areas of Systematic Problem Solving, process improvement, & project managementOperate within compliance with a quality mindset that focuses on risk management & mitigationSupport Corporate, PS AM, local IT, & local stakeholder initiatives & projectsAdhere to the Change Management standards and always manage assignments within compliance with a Quality Mindset that focuses on risk management and mitigation. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or relevant field of study from an accredited university requiredMay consider an Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology or a relevant field of study from an accredited university with a minimum of two (2) years of Engineering experience required, preferably in a process-based manufacturing, utility and/or packaging systemsMay consider a High School Diploma (GED) with (4) years of Engineering or related field experience required, preferably in a process-based manufacturing, utility and/or packaging systemsMinimum of two (2) years of Engineering experience in process-based manufacturing, utility, &/or packaging systems preferredKnowledgeable in the following applications or technologies: MES, PCS, PI
