  • Data Engineer (Multiple Levels) ResponsibilitiesNoblis is seekin a cleared Data Engineer to support our customer in Bethesda, MD.
SETA.The Data Engineer will serve as a subject matter expert supporting the Sponsor's enterprise data management mission. The Data Engineer delivers subject matter experts across a range of functional areas including data engineering, security, standards, governance, warehousing, management, and data services. The ideal candidate will design and facilitate the implementation of large-scale data systems, develop and enforce data standards, maintain enterprise data warehouse environments, and ensure the reliability and integrity of data services
  • all within a classified environment leveraging emerging technologies.
Job Responsibilities
  • Design and implement large-scale data systems including data warehouses, data lakes, and data pipelines to support organizational data needs
  • Create preprocessed, vectorized datasets ready for AI model training
  • Develop and implement data standards, policies, and procedures utilizing emerging technologies such as data lakes, cloud storage, and big data analytics
  • Analyze datasets to identify data quality issues and develop solutions to improve data normalization
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement data governance policies and procedures
  • Design, develop, and maintain large-scale data warehouses using cloud-based data warehousing, NoSQL databases, and data virtualization technologies
  • Ensure data security and integrity by implementing access controls, backup and recovery procedures, and data encryption
  • Manage effective implementation of backup and restore procedures and working practices
  • Review backup and restore reports daily; monitor backup/restore information, standards, procedures, measurements, tools, and technology
  • Determine reporting requirements and reporting schedules for data management services
  • Work closely with Service Level Management to ensure data management services meet ongoing and future requirements
  • Estimate overall storage resource and budget requirements for Asset Management as input to IT planning
  • Collate and analyze process measurements associated with data management and recommend improvement activities based on service deviation
  • Support the development and implementation of enterprise data architecture integrated with IC enterprise architectures
  • Organize and facilitate governance boards and working groups related to data sharing, analysis, and interoperability
  • Identify opportunities to improve data literacy across the Sponsor workforce Required Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • All experience must be within the last 15 years
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing large-scale data systems (data warehouses, data lakes, data pipelines)
  • Experience developing and implementing data standards, policies, and governance procedures
  • Experience with cloud-based data warehousing platforms, NoSQL databases, and data virtualization
  • Experience ensuring data security and integrity through access controls, encryption, and backup/recovery procedures
  • Experience analyzing datasets to identify quality issues and developing remediation solutions
  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders across multiple organizations on data governance initiatives
Level II:

Compensation:
$90,700

Level III:

  • $188,725 Desired Qualifications
  • E xperience with IC or DoD data environments and familiarity with ICD 504 (IC Data Management)
  • Experience with AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or similar classified cloud platforms
  • Familiarity with big data analytics tools and frameworks
  • Experience with data mesh architecture concepts
  • Experience creating preprocessed/vectorized datasets for AI/ML model training
  • Experience estimating storage resource and budget requirements for enterprise IT planning
  • Knowledge of Service Level Management practices as they relate to data services
  • Experience facilitating data governance boards or working groups
  • Technical writing skills
