IDR is seeking a Senior Microsoft Fabric Engineer to join one of our top clients. This remote role offers the chance to lead the deployment and integration of Microsoft Fabric infrastructure, supporting critical data platform initiatives that enhance enterprise analytics and data management capabilities.
Position Overview for the Senior Microsoft Fabric Engineer:
Prepare and configure Microsoft Fabric environments within Azure to support seamless integration with cloud-based data solutions.
Develop and deploy scalable data pipelines, transformations, and platform components to meet project deadlines.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful testing, validation, and readiness for production deployment.
Support data quality processes, including lineage tracking and certification, to ensure reliable data delivery.
Design solutions aligned with enterprise data architecture standards, including lakehouse and warehouse models.
Requirements for the Senior Microsoft Fabric Engineer:
A minimum of five years of experience in data engineering or building data platforms, with a focus on large-scale data solutions.
Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Fabric, including setting up lakehouse architectures, Data Factory pipelines, and dataflows Gen2.
Strong knowledge of Azure data services such as Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL.
Proficiency in programming languages like Python and/or PySpark, along with advanced SQL skills.
Experience designing and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines and data ingestion frameworks for both batch and streaming data.
Deep understanding of the Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers), Delta Lake, and parquet storage formats.
Familiarity with CI/CD practices and DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps and Git.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):
Experience with Power BI semantic models and datasets.
Knowledge of real-time analytics within Fabric environments.
Exposure to data cataloging and lineage tools.

Compensation Range:
$55-58/hr
