  • Contract (Part-Time, Hybrid/Remote, Philadelphia area) Ignyte Insurance Services is hiring a contract Analytics Engineer for a focused 4-6 month engagement (approximately 120 hours/month) to stabilize and extend our Microsoft Fabric analytics platform. This is hands-on, fix-it-and-build-it work, not greenfield architecture
  • you'll be productive in week one if you know the Microsoft data stack and aren't scared of someone else's pipelines.
What you'll actually do Review and harden financial data pipelines feeding from Solver into our Fabric lakehouse, including profit-center hierarchies and vendor-detail loading Diagnose and fix Power BI / Fabric deployment-pipeline issues (dev test prod) and stabilize semantic models Build and refine curated datasets and data marts (star schemas, semantic models) that serve as the trusted layer for Power BI reporting across finance, production, underwriting, and claims Modify and validate production transaction-data models for analysis Stand up data-quality checks and validation rules on the metrics that matter Document sources, transformations, and business logic as you go Must-have Hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience (Lakehouse, pipelines, and Fabric/Power BI deployment pipelines specifically) Strong DAX and semantic/tabular data modeling (this is half the job
  • not just ETL) Advanced SQL and Python for data transformation Solid data-warehousing fundamentals (star schemas, dimensional modeling) Comfortable debugging and extending pipelines you didn't write, with attention to data-quality and reasonability checks Self-directed (minimal handholding, clear written updates) Nice-to-have Solver (or comparable CPM / financial-close tooling) integration experience Azure Data Factory and Azure DevOps (pipeline/release management) Finance domain fluency (profit centers, transaction-level analysis) Insurance domain exposure (underwriting, claims, actuarial reporting) Logistics Contract, approx.
