Azzure Data Engineer, Lead

Piper Companies is seeking a Lead Data Engineer in Fort Washington, PA to play a key role in building and scaling modern data platforms, with a strong focus on Microsoft Fabric and cloud-based data solutions with a hospital network.

Responsibilities:

Design and build scalable data pipelines, warehouses, and data lake solutions Lead data architecture and integration efforts within Microsoft Fabric and cloud environments Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes for enterprise data initiatives Partner with clinical, business, and IT stakeholders to deliver data-driven solution Implement best practices for data governance, quality, and security Provide technical leadership and mentorship across data engineering efforts

Qualifications:

7+ years of experience in data engineering or data architecture Strong proficiency in Python and SQL Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, or similar tools (Fabric strongly preferred) Experience with modern data tools such as Snowflake, Databricks, Airflow, or dbt Strong understanding of data warehousing and data modeling concepts

Salary:

$140,000 - $150,000 annually
