Senior Data / Feature Engineer - Onsite#26-06152 Pittsburgh Onsite Contract Starts 6/22/2026 Ends 6/25/2027 Job Description Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Data / Feature Engineer - Onsite position with a Major Financial Institution located in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a contract to hire opportunity. We are hiring a Senior Data / Feature Engineer to build and scale production-grade machine learning pipelines and feature engineering systems. This is strictly an engineering role, not a Data Scientist position, focused on MLOps, data pipelines, and platform reliability. You will work on a large, growing ML engineering team delivering enterprise-grade solutions through robust data and feature pipelines.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement scalable feature pipelines (batch & real-time) Build and maintain MLOps pipelines for model lifecycle management Developplex data transformations and feature engineering logic Optimize pipeline performance, latency, and cost efficiency Ensure data quality, validation, and SLAs (freshness, accuracy, reliability) Collaborate with ML, platform, and engineering teams (not building models) Support production deployments, monitoring, and incident resolution Contribute to feature store frameworks and reusable architecture Participate in monthly release cycles (off-hours support required)

Requirements:

6-10 years in Data Engineering, ML Engineering, or Feature Engineering Proven experience building production-grade pipelines Advanced proficiency in Python Strong experience with SQL, Spark, and Hive Experience with MLOps pipelines, OpenShift (or Kubernetes), Git, and Linux Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, distributed data processing, data modeling, and performance tuning Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work cross-functionally Desired skills: Experience with feature stores (Feast, Hopsworks, etc.) Exposure to ML lifecycle concepts (but not model development) Experience in large-scale enterprise data environments Experience mentoring junior engineers Pay range: $55 - $60 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
