Job Description
Experteer Overview In this role you will design and deliver cloud-based data solutions to power analytics and AI, partnering with business and governance teams to create secure, scalable data platforms. You will act as the enterprise expert for building and optimizing data pipelines and processing systems across data warehouses, marts, and other repositories. You'll coordinate security, monitoring, and tooling with relevant IT teams and guide junior staff. This is a hands-on, impact-oriented position that supports Fisher Investments' global growth and data-driven decision making.
Compensation / Benefits
- Design, build and deliver enterprise data asset solutions using agile practices
- Develop, configure and manage data integration tools, databases, warehouses and analytical systems
- Create and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines from diverse sources (databases, APIs, files)
- Model structured, semi-structured and unstructured data (data vault, dimensional) on various platforms
- Coordinate security, monitoring, and development tooling with responsible teams
- Provide operational support and incident management for data pipelines
- Document processes, procedures and technical designs
- Coach and guide junior data and BI personnel across the company Tasks
- 8+ years of experience developing data-related solutions and software
- 5+ years working with relational databases, including Microsoft Azure
- 2+ years of experience with multiple cloud technologies in the Microsoft Stack (Azure IaaS/PaaS) and familiarity with alternative clouds
- 2+ years designing and developing on-premises and cloud-based Azure infrastructure
- 2+ years hands-on Azure cloud development with T-SQL, Azure SQL, Azure Storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Cosmos DB, GitHub, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD
- Advanced knowledge of ETL/ELT tools (SSIS, Informatica, Kafka, Spark, MuleSoft or equivalent)
- Advanced knowledge of databases (SQL Server, Oracle, NoSQL)
- Advanced knowledge of programming languages (Python, SQL, Scala)
- Advanced knowledge of IT infrastructure standards and DevOps tooling
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other relevant field Key requirements
