Become a part of our caring community The Data Engineer 2 develops scalable data processing architectures and solutions that facilitate the efficient transformation of structured and unstructured data into applicable insights across the enterprise. You will work on diverse assignments that require interpretation and judgment to determine the most appropriate course of action. You will report to the Director, Business Intelligence. You will work in a remote capacity. You will ingest data from internal and external sources using cloud-native platforms and applies industry-standard software development practices and patterns. You will use AI, machine learning, and big data to transform data and support improved service delivery for members. You will help shape departmental strategy and decisions regarding technical approaches to complex project components, exercising considerable latitude in setting goals and methods. Use your skills to make an impact Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field. 2+ years' technical experience in data analysis or engineering. Proficiency in SQL and Python. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications. Experience in Microsoft Power Platform (Dataverse, Power Apps, connectors). Experience assessing complex data sets and conducting root cause analysis. Use data to guide decisions and outcomes. You will work within the EST time zone. Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Experience working with healthcare data, working with data from diverse EHRs, and an understanding of Membership, Medicare Risk Adjustment, and quality metrics (such as HEDIS). Experience working with Snowflake Cloud. Experience with the Azure ecosystem. Familiarity with dbt (data build tool) framework.Travel:
While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required. Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Pay Range The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. $97,900 - $133,500 per year This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
