Hybrid WFH and Occasional in the office
Pay Rate:
($65•75) hourly
Overview:
We are seeking an IT Data Engineer with 3-4 years of experience in data engineering, financial reporting, and analytics. The ideal candidate will have strong AWS data platform expertise, advanced SQL skills, hands-on experience building ETL/data pipelines, and the ability to support financial reporting and business intelligence initiatives. An AI-first mindset and interest in leveraging emerging AI technologies are highly desirable.
Required Skills:
3-4 years of experience in Data Engineering , ETL, or Financial Reporting environments Strong experience with AWS services, including Glue , Redshift /Athena, and S3 Advanced
T-SQL/SQL
development, query tuning, stored procedures, and views Experience building and maintaining scalable ETL processes and data pipelines Strong understanding of data modeling, database design, and performance optimization Hands-on experience with Power BI dashboards, datasets, and reporting solutions Knowledge of financial reporting processes and financial data management
Preferred Qualifications:
Insurance or Financial Services industry experience Experience with Oracle ERP/EPM and Smart View Understanding of financial statements, reconciliations, audit controls, and regulatory reporting Exposure to AI/LLM technologies, RAG concepts, and AI-driven analytics solutions
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain AWS-based data pipelines and ETL workflows Develop and optimize SQL queries, database objects, and reporting datasets Integrate data from multiple financial and operational systems Support Power BI reporting and analytics for finance stakeholders Ensure data quality, governance, monitoring, and operational reliability Collaborate with finance, reporting, and technology teams to deliver production solutions Research and adopt AI technologies to enhance data and reporting capabilities.
