We are investing heavily in both our data platform and the data literacy of our organisation, and we are looking for a talented Data Engineer to play a crucial role in this journey.

As a key member of the team, you will help shape and manage our business intelligence and analytics environment, transforming data into meaningful insights that drive better decision-making across the business.•Please note: This role requires eligibility for BPSS and SC security clearance.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, deploy and maintain business intelligence solutionsWrite and optimise queries to meet data requirementsDeliver insights through reports and visualisationsTranslate business needs into technical solutionsMaintain and enhance data platforms and analytics systemsBuild and manage dimensional data modelsConduct testing, troubleshooting and performance tuningEvaluate and improve existing BI systemsCollaborate with technical teams to integrate systemsCreate and maintain technical documentationEssential Skills & ExperienceProven experience in a data-focused roleStrong background in data warehousing and dimensional modellingUnderstanding of database management systems, OLAP and ETL frameworksExperience with cloud data platforms (ideally Microsoft Fabric)Familiarity with Power BI or similar BI toolsAbility to optimise and troubleshoot query performanceStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsDesirable SkillsKnowledge of modern data architecturesExperience with SQL, SSRS, SSIS and SSASExperience using PySparkFamiliarity with KQLExperience with data cataloguing toolsExposure to C#Security RequirementsCandidates must be eligible for BPSS clearance and able to achieve Security Check (SC) clearance, which requires a minimum of 5 years UK residency. A full UK driving licence is also required.
