The ideal candidate is responsible for implementing and operating Purview components while governing metadata, lineage, and classifications across Azure and AWS data services using Python-driven solutions.

Rate Range:

$34/hour to $36/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Senior Data Governance Engineer Job Responsibilities include: Implement, configure, and operate Microsoft Purview across enterprise data platforms, including collections, scanners, metadata catalog, classifications, glossary, and lineage. Establish and enforce data governance standards, policies, and controls across Azure and AWS data services. Integrate Purview with cloud data sources to enable end-to-end data discovery, lineage tracking, and compliance reporting. Develop and maintain Python-based automation for metadata ingestion, governance workflows, and operational optimization. Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, and security teams to align governance practices with business and regulatory requirements. Monitor, support, and continuously improve data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, transparency, and consistency.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline. 5-10 years of overall experience, with 4-6+ years in data governance, data engineering, or analytics engineering roles. Proven, hands-on experience implementing and operating Microsoft Purview in enterprise environments, including collections, scanners, catalog, classifications, glossary, and lineage. Pay Details:
