Job Description:

Senior Data Engineer (Hybrid - Temple, TX)

Location:

Hybrid (3 days onsite)

Requirement:

Must live within ~50 minutes of Temple, TX What You'll Do Build and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL pipelines (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server) Enhance and support enterprise data warehouse architecture (dimensional models, ETL/ELT) Develop Linux shell scripts for automation and batch processing Work with mainframe datasets/utilities to extract and integrate data Create datasets and models for IBM Cognos Analytics reporting Partner with analysts, data scientists, and business teams to deliver data solutions Troubleshoot data quality issues, performance bottlenecks, and system failures What You Bring 5+ years experience in Data Engineering (or similar) Strong SQL expertise (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server) Solid understanding of data warehousing (ETL, dimensional modeling, OLAP) Experience with Linux shell scripting (bash, ksh) Exposure to mainframe systems (JCL, datasets, utilities) Experience with IBM Cognos or similar BI tools Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) Why Join Work on high-impact, enterprise-scale data solutions Collaborate with cross-functional teams Influence data architecture and strategic decisions Culture focused on ownership, innovation, and technical excellence Benefits Day 1 coverage: Medical, dental, vision, HSA/FSA, life insurance PTO starts immediately 401(k) + profit sharing (after 90 days)
