Job Description

Lead and develop a team of data engineers, modeling engineering excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement through day-to-day work. Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines, transformations, and data models that underpin analytics and data products. Own end-to-end delivery of data engineering initiatives, from technical design and planning through production rollout and ongoing support. Provide hands-on technical leadership through code contributions, architectural decisions, and the adoption of engineering standard methodologies such as CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and documentation. Partner closely with product managers, data scientists, analysts, and business partners to deliver high-quality, consumable data products. Serve as a technical leader in agile delivery, supporting sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation, and cross-team coordination. Experience building and delivering data engineering capabilities while leading or mentoring data engineers. Strong hands-on expertise with Databricks and DBT as well as cloud data platforms such as Azure and/or AWS. Deep proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and Python (or similar language). Proven ability to deliver end-to-end data products, from build through production deployment and support. Working knowledge of data governance fundamentals, including data quality, metadata, and lineage. Strong communication skills and the ability to influence technical direction across diverse partners.
