Matillion ETL Engineer

Matillion ETL Engineer On-site | Austin, Tx | ContractWe are partnering with an Austin client to hire a Matillion ETL Engineer to support the development, refactoring, and maintenance of data pipelines in a modern cloud data environment. This role will focus on building reliable, well‑structured pipelines using Matillion, Snowflake, and AWS, while helping improve data quality and maintain clean, analytics‑ready models for reporting teams. This is a hands‑on role well suited for someone early in their data engineering career who is comfortable working with raw, imperfect data and eager to grow within a cloud‑based data stack. Please note, this position requires you to report on-site 4 days per week.

Responsibilities:

Build and maintain end‑to‑end ETL pipelines using Matillion to extract data from source systems, transform data (clean, join, aggregate), and load into SnowflakeRefactor existing pipelines to improve performance, reliability, and readabilityClean and standardize inconsistent or raw data from multiple sourcesRedesign and improve data models to support Tableau reporting and analytics consumption (not a BI development role)Partner with analytics and reporting teams to ensure data models are performant, intuitive, and accurateSupport ongoing data quality initiatives and pipeline monitoringAssist with cloud‑based data initiatives, including exposure to data and platform migrationsDocument ETL logic, data models, and pipeline processes as needed
