Location:
Irving, TX (Hybrid - 4 days onsite per week
Duration:
Long Term Contract CornerStone Technology Talent Services is seeking a Data Engineer to join a growing data and analytics team. This position will help design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions that support business intelligence, reporting, and analytics initiatives across the organization. Responsibilities Support the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines and data models Build and maintain scalable data solutions using dbt , Python , and cloud-based technologies Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes for batch and real-time data ingestion Create and maintain dimensional data models to support reporting and analytics Monitor data pipelines and implement alerts for processing interruptions and anomalies Troubleshoot and resolve data quality and pipeline issues, including root cause analysis Support data integration efforts across multiple internal and external data sources Maintain data lineage, documentation, and source control practices Optimize database performance through query tuning and data model improvements Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into data solutions Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience 2-3 years of experience with data engineering and data pipeline development Hands-on experience with dbt Strong SQL skills , including query optimization and database design Proficiency in Python Experience designing and supporting ETL/ELT processes Understanding of dimensional data modeling concepts Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with Databricks , Snowflake , Microsoft Fabric , or similar data platforms Experience with AWS cloud services Experience with Fivetran Experience working with SAP ECC data sources Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools What You'll Bring Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality Ability to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions A continuous improvement mindset focused on automation and optimization If you're passionate about building reliable data solutions and growing your data engineering expertise, we'd love to hear from you.
