12 Months This role seeks a data engineer to help modernize enterprise recordkeeping capabilities within a large-scale data platform environment. The position focuses on building and evolving distributed, cloud-based systems while supporting strategic platform modernization initiatives. Responsibilities include designing and developing high-throughput REST-based microservices, implementing data-intensive web services, and building scalable data pipelines. The engineer will work with technologies such as SQL, PL/SQL, NoSQL databases, ETL tools like Informatica, and programming languages including Java, Python, or Scala. The role also involves working with data streaming platforms such as Kafka, caching technologies like Redis, and cloud platforms (with Azure experience considered a plus). Candidates should have at least 8 years of data engineering experience and a BS/BA degree. The position operates within agile squads that deliver business solutions across a global technology organization. The engineer will provide technical leadership in areas such as data engineering, test-driven development, and cloud platform evolution, while helping deliver resilient and scalable solutions aligned with Site Reliability Engineering principles. The role requires strong collaboration and communication skills, an analytical mindset for translating requirements into technical solutions, and a passion for working with data and ETL development. Additional responsibilities include mentoring team members, supporting CI/CD practices using tools like GitHub, Jenkins, and Artifactory, and contributing to experimentation with emerging technologies to support large-volume data processing for a global customer base.
