Data Engineer (Milwaukee, WI, 53202) | 04/27/26 Easy Apply Test Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities Apply data engineering best practices to analyze, design, develop, deploy, and support scalable data pipelines and data platform solutions. Influence team members through lean agile leadership with a focus on data-driven delivery. Mentor on Data Engineering Craftsmanship, Data Quality Standards, and best practices for building reliable data systems. Develop and maintain data pipelines using continuous integration and deployment practices, ensuring data availability, reliability, and performance. Participate in Agile implementation and maintenance of source control, pipeline orchestration, and release procedures for data workflows. Participate in data pipeline and architecture reviews, providing feedback to the team on design, scalability, and data quality. Mentor technical members of the team on data engineering patterns, tooling, and domain knowledge. Contribute to a collaborative work environment in which all team members are respected regardless of their individual differences and are motivated to improve both their individual and team contributions. Identify data quality issues and their root causes across ingestion, transformation, and consumption layers. Propose and implement data quality fixes, data audits, and monitoring frameworks to ensure data integrity across domains. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree. 6-8 years of professional experience. At least 6 years of professional software engineering, debugging, analysis, testing and software documentation experience. Advanced programming skills.
Code Knowledge:
Python, JVM (Java, Scala),Apache Spark, SQL. Experience with Agile methodologies/DevOps environment. Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices. Strong understanding of Data Quality and Data Concepts. Strong understanding of Data Integration Patterns and Tooling including ELT/ETL, EII, Replication, Event Streaming and Virtualization to support batch and real-time data needs. Has or develops an understanding of 4-6 subject areas/domains of data. Provides a Strong Agile Lean Servant-Leader Model. Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.Similar remote jobs
