DATA ANALYST & REPORTING SPECIALIST

POSITION SUMMARY
The Data Analyst & Reporting Specialist is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining analytical models, dashboards, and operational reports that drive data-informed decision-making across the organization. This role serves as the primary owner of reporting infrastructure, translating complex data from enterprise data platforms into clear, actionable insights for leadership and operational teams. The ideal candidate is a technically strong analyst who is equally comfortable writing SQL against a cloud data warehouse and building dynamic financial models in Excel.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Excel Modeling & Reporting Design, build, and maintain advanced Excel workbooks including financial models, operational scorecards, and ad hoc analysis tools Develop dynamic reports using PivotTables, Power Query, structured tables, and complex formula logic (INDEX/MATCH, XLOOKUP, array formulas, LAMBDA) Build and maintain automated Excel-based reporting templates to reduce manual effort and standardize outputs across departments Create executive-ready dashboards and summary reports suitable for leadership review and board-level presentation Perform variance analysis, trend identification, and forecasting within Excel-based models Snowflake Data Querying & Management Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries against Snowflake data warehouse to extract, transform, and load data for reporting purposes Develop and document reusable views, CTEs, and stored procedures to support recurring reporting needs Collaborate with data engineering or IT teams to understand data schemas, lineage, and warehouse architecture Connect Snowflake data to downstream reporting tools including Excel (via ODBC/connector), BI platforms, or other visualization layers Monitor data quality and flag discrepancies between source systems and reporting outputs Data Analysis & Insights Translate business questions from operational and clinical teams into structured analytical approaches Synthesize data from multiple sources to produce cohesive, accurate reports and presentations Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities in operational, financial, and workforce data Support budgeting, forecasting, and KPI tracking processes with timely and accurate data Collaboration & Communication Partner with department heads and operations leadership to understand reporting requirements and prioritize deliverables Present findings and analytical outputs clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences Maintain a catalog of reports, models, and data definitions to ensure organizational data consistency Train end users on report navigation, Excel tools, and data interpretation as needed
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field 3+ years of hands-on experience in a data analyst, reporting analyst, or business intelligence role Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel — PivotTables, Power Query, dynamic arrays, XLOOKUP, financial modeling, and data validation Strong SQL skills with demonstrated experience querying and transforming data in Snowflake or a comparable cloud data warehouse (Redshift, BigQuery, Azure Synapse) Experience connecting Excel or BI tools to Snowflake via ODBC, native connector, or similar integration method Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, prioritize effectively, and deliver accurate outputs under deadline Strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to data validation and
QA PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with a BI or visualization tool such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Familiarity with dbt (data build tool) or similar transformation frameworks Experience in healthcare, hospice, or a regulated industry with complex operational data Exposure to Python or R for data manipulation (pandas, openpyxl, etc.) Snowflake SnowPro Core certification or equivalent credential Experience working in or supporting an operations, finance, or COO-adjacent function

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position operates primarily in an office environment with standard computer workstation requirements. Prolonged periods of screen-based work including data entry, analysis, and report development are expected. Occasional travel to other office or facility locations may be required. Pay:
$60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
