Job Description
Description We are looking for a skilled Data Analyst to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Glendale, California. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in analyzing data to identify trends, detect fraudulent activity, and support decision-making processes. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on meaningful projects while leveraging your expertise in fraud analytics and data investigation.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze large datasets to uncover patterns and anomalies that may indicate fraudulent activity.
- Develop and implement fraud detection models and algorithms to enhance risk management.
- Investigate suspicious transactions and activities to identify potential fraud cases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design strategies for fraud prevention and mitigation.
- Prepare detailed reports and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders clearly.
- Monitor and refine anti-fraud systems based on emerging threats and trends.
- Conduct research to stay informed about new fraud schemes and data analysis techniques.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy while working with sensitive information.
- Provide actionable insights that help drive business decisions and improve operational efficiency. Requirements
- Proven experience in data analysis with a focus on fraud detection and prevention.
- Strong proficiency in fraud analytics tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with anti-fraud methodologies and investigative practices.
- Ability to analyze complex datasets and derive meaningful insights.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to present findings effectively to diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools and reporting software.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as data science, statistics, or business analytics.
