Job Description
Our client is seeking a Data Analytics Engineer to build and maintain the data foundation that drives informed decision-making across the organization. This role sits at the intersection of analytics, data engineering, and automation—owning the processes required to collect, standardize, and operationalize data across multiple systems to ensure consistency, reliability, and accessibility.
The ideal candidate will collaborate with stakeholders across investment, portfolio, operations, and leadership teams to translate business needs into scalable data solutions. This includes delivering standardized metrics, curated datasets, robust data pipelines, and actionable insights. A strong understanding of AI-driven tools is key to enhancing analysis and automation while maintaining rigorous validation and governance.
Key Responsibilities
Define and standardize key metrics, data definitions, and reporting logic to establish a single source of truth across the organization
Identify data gaps and recommend improvements to strengthen upstream data collection and processes
Design, build, and maintain data pipelines to ingest, clean, transform, and validate data from various internal and external sources (e.g., CRM systems, investment pipelines, portfolio data, operational tools, and third-party datasets)
Develop and maintain analytical layers and systems of record, including curated datasets, semantic models, and comprehensive documentation
Create and manage ETL/ELT workflows, including API integrations, scheduled data refreshes, monitoring, and data quality assurance
Build dashboards and visualizations that translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for cross-functional stakeholders
Automate recurring data preparation and reporting processes; leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis and enhance data operations while ensuring strong validation controls
Partner cross-functionally to gather requirements, define technical specifications, and deliver scalable data products such as datasets, dashboards, and automation solutions
Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, clearly documenting assumptions, definitions, and methodologies
Required Qualifications
Strong experience working with data warehouses and lakehouses, including designing curated datasets for analytics and reporting
Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases, with the ability to troubleshoot data issues end-to-end
Hands-on experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines, including orchestration, monitoring, and data validation practices
Experience integrating data through APIs, including developing and maintaining ingestion frameworks and connectors
Proven ability to design and deliver dashboards and visualizations that support data-driven decision-making
Detail-oriented, proactive, and ownership-driven mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Familiarity with cryptocurrency markets and on-chain analytics, including protocol metrics, wallet/contract activity, and related data sources
Experience developing and maintaining semantic layers and scalable data documentation
Practical experience applying AI tools to improve analytics and automation, with a strong emphasis on validation and responsible use
