Analytics Full Job Description Laboratory Data Analyst Job Summary:
Primary responsibilities include analysis and interpretation of a variety of analytic laboratory tests for patient diagnosis in a high-throughput clinical laboratory setting. Employees must be able to accurately follow detailed standard operating procedures for various tests. Analytic platforms include molecular panels (RT-qPCR, qPCR, NGS, microarray analysis), ELISAs, and Enzymatic quantification assays.
Primary Responsibilities:
Maintains integrity & quality of data & assures data meets operational requirements and goals. Assists in planning, establishing & monitoring criteria for data collection. Trains department staff on data acquisition methods. Acts as central resource for data collection. Extracts data from multiple sources. Audits and resolves all issues. Acts as integral member of data collection team. Designs and develops reporting and analysis tools. Interprets data and refines analysis. Prepares and presents comprehensive reports. Develops forms, tables and other data tools in the applications that capture, report and consolidate data. Provides application data collection, analytics and reporting expertise. Complete analytics in a timely and efficient manner. Collaborates with management to maintain data collection and reporting. Recommends tools, upgrades and alternatives. Assists in the development of security and back-up plans. Coordinates interface solutions with multiple applications. Ensures data analysis is in compliance with regulatory practices. Ensure quality by performing QC and QA checks, adhering to SOPs, and maintaining competency Identify and suggest process improvements to the medical director Recognize problems, contribute to troubleshooting, and escalate problems appropriately Perform administrative tasks as assigned, including documentation, maintenance of SOPs, and participation in proficiency testing Provide accurate and reliable data analyses to clinical directors, with supporting documentation; draft patient reports as needed
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Biological Science, Allied Health or other related field required. Laboratory testing personnel certification (ASCP or equivalent) is required. Previous experience performing techniques, such as DNA extraction, ELISA, and PCR preferred Strong understanding of molecular and general chemistry testing Ability to work independently and within a team environment Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems are a plus High level of attention detail along with strong communication and organizational skills 1- 3 years of Laboratory work experience preferred. Advanced technical computer skills as required for technical support specific to functional area and related systems.
