Bachelor's degree in data or information management, business administration, data science, or similar field from an accredited college or university required Description of Work/Agency The Gulf Coast Ecosystem Restoration Council (GCERC) is a federal interagency body established under the Resources and Ecosystems Sustainability, Tourist Opportunities, and Revived Economies of the Gulf Coast States (RESTORE) Act. GCERC funds and oversees ecosystem restoration projects across the Gulf Coast region, interfacing daily with state governments, federal agencies, and restoration program stakeholders. Its work spans grant management, field site oversight, programmatic reporting, and long-term data stewardship. Kenney Business Solutions (KBS) seeks a Data Analyst to provide executive, operational, and project support to GCERC, including data entry, records management, and programmatic document support to the Director of Ecosystem Restoration Programs and program staff. Responsibilities Maintain a bi-weekly records management tracking spreadsheet for the Program Supervisor; liaise between the records management contractor and program staff to identify and resolve issues. Track completion of field site visits and Field Site Visit Observation Forms monthly; send reminders to program staff as needed. Prepare and deliver bi-weekly status reports on tasks, initiatives, and project plans; meet with the GCERC Director of Ecosystem Restoration Programs to review reports, identify action items, and track action item status. Organize program staff documentation and support development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) on a weekly basis. Maintain and track progress on staff assignments weekly; actively listen and take notes during staff calls, then format and publish notes in standard office format. Maintain and track document development schedules; support drafting, formatting, and finalization of programmatic documents, including figures, graphics, and presentations, using Microsoft Office and Google Docs. Assist in developing datasets for incorporation into the COAST SharePoint site; perform quality control checks on data prior to incorporation. Handle all Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in accordance with applicable federal privacy and records management requirements. Complete all required federal records management and information security training at the start of the period of performance. Experience Demonstrated experience in data entry, records management, or administrative program support in a government or regulated environment required. Familiarity with National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) guidelines and the Federal Records Act required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Docs required; experience with SharePoint-based data management platforms, including COAST, strongly preferred. Experience formatting and publishing meeting notes, status reports, and programmatic documents. Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple concurrent workstreams, deadlines, and staff assignments. Strong organizational skills and effective written and verbal communication abilities required. Prior experience handling sensitive government information, including Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and Personally Identifiable Information (PII), preferred. Qualifications Must be a U.S. citizen. Bachelor's degree in data or information management, business administration, data science, or comparable field from an accredited institution required. Must be available full-time and able to report onsite in New Orleans, Louisiana. Must be capable of successfully passing a federal Public Trust background investigation prior to beginning work.
