Blackbaud Data Analyst

A School is seeking a Full-Time Data Analyst / Blackbaud Systems Administrator to oversee the integrity, performance, and strategic use of its core data systems. This role will play a critical part in ensuring continuity across academic, advancement, and operational systems, while improving data quality, reporting capabilities, and system integrations. Primary Responsibilities Blackbaud Ownership & Administration

• Serve as the lead administrator and subject matter expert for the school's Blackbaud environment, including:
• Blackbaud Student Information System (SIS)
• Learning Management System (LMS)
• Raiser's Edge NXT
• Associated Blackbaud APIs, imports/exports, and integration tools
• Maintain system configuration, security roles, permissions, workflows, portals, and constituent records
• Manage academic year rollover, scheduling imports, grading periods, report cards, and transcripts
• Partner with Admissions, Advancement, Business Office, and Academic Leadership to align systems with operational needs Data Quality, Governance & Best Practices
• Establish and maintain data standards for accuracy, consistency, and governance
• Audit systems regularly to identify duplicate, incomplete, or inconsistent records
• Implement processes to improve long-term data integrity
• Lead or support data governance initiatives and committee efforts
• Create and maintain documentation for data definitions, workflows, and system dependencies Integrations, Automation & Data Exchange
• Oversee integrations between Blackbaud and connected systems such as:
• Finalsite, Magnus Health, Naviance, S2/Lenel, Camp systems
• Google Workspace and Microsoft 365
• Design, maintain, and troubleshoot automated data processes using APIs, CSV, XML, JSON, and OneRoster
• Build and maintain scripts, connectors, and workflows to streamline operations
• Monitor integration performance, resolve errors, and document processes Reporting, Analytics & Tool Development
• Develop reports, dashboards, and queries for departments across the school
• Create scalable reporting tools to reduce manual data requests
• Support leadership with data-driven insights across admissions, advancement, academics, and finance
• Translate business needs into actionable reporting solutions Training, Support & Collaboration
• Provide day-to-day support for faculty and staff using Blackbaud and related systems
• Troubleshoot issues related to data, permissions, workflows, and integrations
• Train users on reporting, system best practices, and data management
• Develop user guides, training materials, and internal documentation
• Communicate system updates and process improvements across departments Qualifications
• _ 5+ years of hands-on experience administering Blackbaud systems (K-12, higher education, nonprofit, or advancement environments) _
• Strong expertise in Blackbaud SIS, LMS, Raiser's Edge NXT, or related modules
• Experience with APIs, system integrations, and data synchronization across platforms
• Advanced knowledge of data structures, governance, and relational databases
• Proficiency in data formats such as CSV, XML, JSON, and OneRoster
• Strong reporting and analytical skills, including advanced Microsoft Excel
• Experience building scripts or automation tools for recurring processes
• Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Proven ability to work independently as a stand-alone IT/data resource #RJADM45

Pay:
